Goals by Jordan Greenway and Clayton Keller helped Team USA defeat
Canada, 5-1, in the final game of the NJEC Showcase in Plymouth, Michigan. Late
in the first period, Greenway doubled the USA lead, scoring an All-Terrier goal,
converting Kieffer Bellows’ centering pass. The other assist went to Keller.

U.S. head coach Bob Motzko, on numerous occasions, employed an
effective power play unit that featured four Terriers: Bellows, Keller and
Greenway up front with Charlie McAvoy on the right point. McAvoy, the Bruins’
first pick in the June draft, was a force at both ends of the ice throughout
the game and brought the crowd to its feet with a crunching open ice hit on
Lawson Crouse.

Goalie Jake Oettinger and blueliner Chad Krys, who played in Friday’s game against Finland, were not
active for the final game. Team USA will hold a final selection camp in
December before announcing the team that will compete in the World Junior
Championships in Toronto and Montreal.
