Ice-cold news for a hot weekend--UPDATED

NHL Central Scouting has issued its Futures List for the 2017 Entry Draft and incoming freshmen goalie Jake Oettinger is among those projected as first round picks. Al Jensen, the lead goalie evaluator for Central Scouting reports that the 6'4" 203 lb., netminder, who had a 25-8-1 record and a 2.33 GAA for the NTDP U18s, has a good glove hand and excellent balance. Jensen added:
"He's a big presence in the net and plays mostly a positional blocking style," Jensen said. "He has great positional play and excellent net coverage, even when he drops in the butterfly."

Also on the Futures List are two 2018 recruits: Logan Cockerill (photo), who will play for the NTDP U18s this season after a 21-point U17 season, and Matthew Quercia, a power forward for the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs..
