#11 Terriers travel south on
Rt. 95 to take on top-rated Providence College at Schneider Arena in the teams’
first meetings since last April’s NCAA title game. Puck drop is at 6 p.m. as
the contest is part of the American Sports Network’s Friday Night College
Hockey double-header.
The game will air in New England on NESN and in Canada on TSN2. Other locations that will air the ASN broadcast are listed here. In addition, for Terrier fans in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut market, the game will be rebroadcast on Sunday on SportsNet New York (SNY) at 7:30 p.m.
Like the Terriers, the
undefeated Friars are getting strong offensive numbers from the defense.
Sophomore blueliner Jake Walman leads
the team with 12 points (7G, 5A), while seniors Mark Jankowski and Trevor
Mingoria each have 10 points. Junior Nick Ellis has taken over the goaltending
reins from departed Jon Gillies and has a 2.18 GAA.
BU has won its last three games—an OT win over Denver and a sweep of Northeastern—sparked by the return of Captain Matt Grzelcyk, four goals from senior Ahti Oksanen and six points from leading scorer, senior assistant captain Danny O’Regan (photo), who now has 11 points (2G, 9A). Sophomore goalie Connor LaCouvee, who backboned all three wins, will get the start again tonight. Check back for the full BU line-up.

Five
members of BU’s 2016 recruit class will be on the ice in Plymouth, Michigan,
tonight when the NTDP U18s host the Youngstown Phantoms. Team USA members
Kieffer Bellows, Clayton Keller, Chad Krys and Jake Oettinger will oppose
future teammate Vas Kolias of the Phantoms. The game is being streamed in HD
for FREE on Fast Hockey.
