Midweek Linkorama

On September 23, Coach David Quinn was interviewed by play-by-play announcer Bernie Corbett at Sunset Cantina and took questions from Terrier fans in attendance. The live podcast that night ran into technical problems, but the recorded podcast, which lasts 45 minutes, is now available.

Discussing the Terriers’ turnaround season in 2014-15, Quinn points out that last year’s squad never lost twice in a row and the last time that happened at BU was the national championship season of 1978. He also addresses who needs to step up to replace the offense lost to graduation and Jack Eichel’s departure. Here’s an interesting stat in that regard from College Hockey Inc.:

Hockeysfuture.com’s look at Ottawa Senators prospects lists junior Robbie Baillargeon (photo) as the organization’s most likely Bounce Back prospect. After leading BU in scoring as a freshman with 27 points, the right-short forward was slowed by mononucleosis last season, finishing with 16 points.

Former Daily Free Press hockey writer Conor Ryan, now with SB Nation, authored an impressive, in- depth feature on freshman Bobo Carpenter's path to BU, talking with the North Reading, Massachusetts native and his father, 18-year NHL veteran Bobby Carpenter.

College Hockey Inc. reveals 13 key story lines for the upcoming season including the Hobey Baker Award race with senior Danny O’Regan a leading candidate and the growing influx of European players, including Terriers Ahti Oksanen (Finland) and Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson (Sweden).
